Water has shaped chambers, columns, stalactites and unexpected passages beneath Valporquero mountain. Visitor routes reveal much of the cave.
Opening is seasonal and several tours are available. Check the calendar and book ahead, especially in summer.

A summer outing on the banks of the Curueño to spend time by the river and discover Montuerto, in the municipality of Valdepiélago.

Argovejo nestles beneath the limestone walls of the Jaido. A walk through the village or beechwood ends well around a local table.

Lois brings together heraldic houses, stone architecture and two remarkable sites: its large Baroque church and a traditional chimneyless home.

In summer, traditional aluches bouts travel around León’s villages. A bout is a close-up encounter with a sport that still gathers generations around the same ring.
