CULTURE

Culture is also present in the area. There are monumental areas that are worth visiting, as well as different types: the Museum of Wild Fauna offers a complete vision of the animal world, in the Museo de la Siderurgia y la Minería de León you can see first-hand the close relationship of this land with mining.
You can also visit the Cueva de Valporquero where you will enjoy a trip to the center of the earth, or the unique natural enclave that is the Pinar de Lillo, with its ancient fir trees.

SUMMER PARTIES

Throughout the summer, but especially in August, all the towns in the area hold their festivals in honor of different local patrons. The parties of Boñar, those of Puebla de Lillo and even those of Pallide in honor of their patron Santiago are a boil of people where some traditional events such as the Leonese Fight, or the Leonese Bowling.
If what you are looking for is traditional fun with bars and music, all these parties tend to last well into the early hours of the morning.
